Serve with Purpose
Serving others is at the very heart of our mission and purpose. We believe in making a lasting difference in the lives of those around us, and we offer a variety of opportunities for you to get involved and make a positive impact in our community.
ReFresh: having the power to restore; to stimulate
Our name means something to us. It's not just something we grabbed out of the sky because it sounded good or was easy to say. ReFresh is the awakening of souls to live for God.
Our Mission & Values
We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to ReFresh Roanoke by connecting people, refreshing faith, and serving others.
Faith
Develop a Christ centered community by sharing our faith in Jesus outside of the walls of the church.
Fellowship
Connecting people and creating relationships that impact our community.
Fidelity
Support each other and build trusting relationships in our homes and community.
Family
Build and strengthen families and friendships.
Focus
Teach responsible management of health, wealth, time, education and wellness.
Our Beliefs
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. (2Tim. 3:16)
Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, bodily resurrection, and ascension unto the right
hand of Almighty God is the cornerstone of our faith. We also believe that His all-sufficient power and atoning blood
saves and cleanses us, through confession and repentance of sin, and faith in Christ Jesus alone. We believe that in
Jesus Christ lies the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He is fully God and fully man. (John 1:1; Luke 1:35; Matt. 28:6;
Acts 7:55; Heb. 9:14; Rom. 10:9.10)
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other tongues. We believe that Christians
must be filled daily by using our prayer language, but the evidence of the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence is a
changed life through the expression of the fruit of the Spirit. (Acts 2-4; Ephesians 5:18-21, Calatians 5:22, 23).
God
We believe in one God who is eternal in His existence, Triune in His manifestation, being fully Father, Son and Holy
Ghost AND that He is Sovereign and Absolute in His authority.(Colossians 2:9, Deuteronomy 6:4)
Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:38)
End Times
We believe in the rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ. We believe that believers will experience the
restoration of the church and all that the Prophets have spoken, plus the visual and bodily return of Jesus Christ as He
comes again to set His Kingdom in order on Earth.
(Matt. 24:27-30; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; Zech. 14:4, 9)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is received through belief in Jesus Christ and the finished work of Calvary. (Romans 10:9)
Holliness
We believe that a life of holiness and separation from the world and sin is paramount to the believer and that we must
continually serve the Lord with a pure heart and a richt Smirit. (2 Cor 6-17. Pe 51-10)
Worship
We believe in worshiping the Lord in spirit, song, dance, and with the raising of our hands. We believe that we are to
praise and worship Him with our whole being. (Psalm 150:1-6; John 4:24)
